Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Shipshape Society, a Texas limited liability company ("Shipshape Society," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit shipshapesociety.com, contact us, join the Society, or purchase or book our services. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use the site:

  • Information you give us — your name, email address, phone number, and any details you submit through our forms, applications, bookings, or messages (including boat listings, photos, links, or notes you send us for a review or inspection).
  • Payment information — when you pay for a service, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not collect or store your full card number; we may receive limited transaction details such as confirmation and the last four digits.
  • Booking information — appointments are scheduled through our scheduling provider (Cal.com), which collects the details needed to book and confirm your session.
  • Automatically collected data — basic technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and referring pages, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, schedule, and deliver the services you request;
  • To process payments and send confirmations, receipts, and service-related messages;
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
  • To send updates, new offerings, and Society communications where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services;
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only as needed with trusted service providers that help us operate the website and services, including payment processing providers such as Stripe, scheduling providers such as Cal.com, website hosting and infrastructure providers such as Vercel, CRM and form tools such as HubSpot, email and communication tools, analytics providers, advertising and measurement providers, social media tools, and professional, legal, accounting, security, or compliance providers when needed.

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and service terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, to prevent fraud or security issues, or in connection with a business transfer.

Shipshape Society is based in the United States, Texas. If you contact us or use our services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand how the site is used, measure website performance, improve our services, and evaluate the effectiveness of our content and marketing.

These tools may collect information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, interactions with the site, and similar usage information.

We may use analytics, advertising, social media, retargeting, conversion tracking, or measurement tools provided by third-party service providers. These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and settings.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect some site features.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding the personal information we collect, use, store, or share. These rights may include the right to request access to your personal information, receive a copy of certain personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of eligible personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, opt out of certain marketing communications, or exercise other rights available under applicable privacy laws.

Shipshape Society will review and respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
